Mrs. Always Right

We had a nice little Valentine’s present to open when we got back on Wednesday from my parents which included this funny card along with some cute Valentine’s décor and spending cash for both of us! Thanks Mom & Dad! This card couldn’t have been more perfect after our trip to the casino. Let’s just say we lost money and it wasn’t my fault!!!

After hearing from a co-worker about the nice rooms and cheap rates at Prairie Band Casino in Topeka we decided to book a night for Valentine’s Day. Brian was able to take a half day so we headed to Topeka later that afternoon. Thank you to my brother for watching Levi! We weren’t too hungry when we arrived so we snapped a cute pic and then headed to play a few slots.

We didn’t make definite plans for dinner as we didn’t want to spend $100 bucks at the sit down restaurant but unfortunately the buffet line was out the door so I suggested pizza from Buzzard's which was about 15 minutes away. My family loves Buzzard’s and I knew Brian would too so we called it in, picked it up and enjoyed a nice, cheap, yummy dinner of pizza and wine!

I was able to catch this cute pic of Hubs playing the slots when he was actually winning. We aren’t big gamblers but I can always just walk way even if I have only won $20 bucks! Brian on the other hand cannot. He blew through his winnings and walked away with nothing.

I was up about $80 and should have just walked away but thought it was too early to stop so I kept going and kept losing! Ahh! I was only up $20 when Brian came and found me. I told him I was done and he said, “What’s $20 bucks? Keep going!” Surprising I started winning again and got back up to $75 and was ready to quit but someone wouldn’t let me. I was like I’m quitting at 60, 50, 40…Never happened. UGH…. Why did I listen to him I also walked away with nothing!

It was all for fun and even though we came away empty handed we still had a fun spending the day with each other!

He was off Wednesday too so I was treated to dinner and a movie!! Rock, Paper, Scissors I got to pick the movie! We went to see “The Vow!” It was cute but I would advise to wait till it comes out on DVD! Mexican was our choice for dinner…no surprise there! Such a nice end to our 7th Valentine’s Day together!
