IT'S A GIRL!!!

Jenny and Clayton announced it on Facebook with the caption “Our Little Pumpkin is a Girl” Too cute!

We are sooo excited to have a little girl joining the family! Our first niece! Aunt Lane & Uncle Pudge couldn’t be more thrilled! Now we just have to wait till March to meet her!

Chris and Jenny came up yesterday to go shopping. I was so excited they had asked me to come along! We checked out some local baby stores. Our favorite by far was USA Baby. I think our total time in there was around 3 hours! Jenny spotted the bedding right when she walked in. And the crib was everyone's favorite! She bought a few accessories for the room but we are both on the look out for the final little touches. I can't wait to see it all put together!

Here's Mommy & Grammy with the final purchases!

Just think....in a few short months there will be a baby sleeping in there!

All Dolled Up!

On Saturday I helped my cousin Ali get ready for Homecoming! Times like these are when I miss high school and getting all dolled up for the dances. Thankfully she always asks me to help her find the perfect dress so I still get to play dress up! We headed to Jessica McClintock since she had good luck last year finding a dress that I even wore to Brian’s Christmas Party (Plus side of being the same size back then…) She found this beautiful dress on the sale rack marked down from $165 to $72. Bonus was everything in the store was another 25% off. We even found a bracelet to match, which I think might be staying at my house for a couple months! Lol

We stopped by Charming Charlie to grab some earrings, which broke right before she left. I guess that’s what we get for paying $5 bucks. Thankfully the ones I had on worked just fine. And of course she needed a little animal print to finish off the look.

Her girlfriends all came over to help her get ready. Peyton did her hair and I came over later to help her get dressed and do her make-up. She looked beautiful. Her boyfriend Danny came to pick her up and when he walked in the door he said “Wow!” It was too cute! He’s a junior so who knows we might be shopping for Prom dresses soon!!!

Sunday Brian and I headed to the Cider Mill in Louisburg. We went last year with Emily and Bryan and had been looking forward to it all season. We stopped by Starbucks where I tried my first Pumpkin Spice Latte. Pretty yummy! We made our way through the corn maze and enjoyed a hayride around the pumpkin patch. We were a little disappointed with their pumpkin selection but the apple cider and cider donuts made up for it. It was a beautiful day shared with the one I love.

Reasons...

like this is why my sobriety from Diet Coke continues! Having DC in the house this past weekend for our guests was torture! I didn’t feel the urge to want one but just having it stare me in the eyes every time I went to get a drink made me miss it!

Weekly Weigh-In:

Lane: Down 1.6 Total 14
Brian: Down 1.5 Total 11.5

Emily’s wedding is coming up and I have had my bridesmaid dress hanging up as my motivation. Last month when we went to pick it up I knew it was in a size smaller then the dress I wore at Heather’s so I was freaking out as I didn’t feel like I had lost much weight. Well it zipped so that was exciting but the site of back fat and the problem of not being able to breathe was not. Too late to order a bigger size so I just told myself I will have to get fabric put in on the sides. WOW…depressing.

Until… a couple more pounds gone, dancing my a$$ off at Zumba, I decided I would try it on just to see. Well it zipped WITHOUT the site of back fat and the plus side was I could breathe. Too bad no one was home to celebrate with me!

I’m getting it hemmed next week and I think I might just have to get it taken in. Did you hear me…TAKEN IN!!! Feels good to say that!

10 MORE DAYS...

I'm ready to fill in the blank and get to shopping for my future Niece or Nephew! It seems like the year of babies again and everyone I know is having a boy. I told Jenny it has to be a girl! She agrees!

My sweet SIL asked me to help decorate her nursery. Which we all know is right up my ally. I've helped many friends do their houses but this is my first nursery! We have been texting/emailing ideas back and forth. What about this…? Do you like this…? How cool is this…?

We just can’t wait for October 28th with hopes "Bobbi Jo" cooperates! Mama & Aunt Lane can’t wait any longer!

Friday Night Date

I got to spend my Friday night with this guy! This is Peter and Kelly’s son Eli who I hadn’t met until this weekend. He is like a miniature Peter! They didn’t get in town till around 8:30 thanks to the lovely KC construction but it all worked out and they let Eli play until he got tried. We enjoyed some warm Apple Crisp, Eli went to bed around 10 and the rest of us enjoyed a bottle of wine while watching our wedding video. Peter was Brian’s best man so Kelly requested we watch it. We were rolling! Way to much alcohol was consumed that night!

2 years ago a late night with us 4 meant sleeping in and bumming around the next day. Fast-forward to Saturday and we were all up by 7 playing with Eli. It was fun having someone excited to see us in the morning. We had some breakfast casserole and then the boys were off to golf while the 3 of us lounged in our Pjs. I must say it was fun having a little running around but I sure did need a nap that day.

Diet Coke Addict No more…

I have made it 30+ days without my beloved Diet Coke. For those that know me know I drank the DC like it was water. It was the first thing I wanted when I woke up and the last thing I drank each day. Most nights I would pout until Brian brought me a Diet Coke home after work (I know… ridiculous!) We didn’t keep it in the house mainly because it would probably all be gone in a day and plus I loved fountain pop. I was addicted to coke….Diet coke that is.

Earlier this summer I had gotten myself down to one pop a day. And then a day or two had gone by without having one and then those famous caffeine headaches kicked it and I raced to QT to get myself one. Ahhhhh!! How I miss the taste of that cold bubbly drink!

When we were at my parent’s house I remember having my last Diet Coke on Labor Day. We got back to town and a few days had passed without those awful headaches and I thought maybe I could do this. Well I’ve made it but wish I could say I didn't miss my pop. I miss it A LOT. Getting pretty bored with the water thing but the plus side is I do feel a lot better. I have to pat myself on the back for finally sticking to something!

Here is our Tubby Tuesday Weigh-In:

Me: Down 2lbs making my total loss 12.4.
Brian: Down 2lbs making his total weight loss 10.

I have to say I'm pretty proud of these Married McNeils! LoL Have a great week!

Look Who's Turning 3...

Yesterday we celebrated Jayden's 3rd Birthday Party at Schaake Pumpkin Patch in Lawrence. It was tractor themed party so of course his card had a tractor on it as well as the shirt I had made for him. (Pictures to come because it is cuuuttteeeee!!) I’m a sucker for themed parties! His mama went all out and everything from the treats to the décor was just perfect!! It’s still hard to believe that Jayden will be three on October 14th. Just seems like yesterday we were celebrating his first birthday and then heading off to our couple’s shower. Crazy to think we have almost been married for 2 years.
Here we are with Jayden and Evan at his first birthday party!! They are just so stinkin’ cute!!

We just love them to pieces and can’t wait for many more birthdays to come! Enjoy the photos from Jayden's 3rd Birthday Party!

Final Fling Before the Ring!

Last night I helped my best friend celebrate her final days as Emily Kramer. Her MOH Katie threw an amazing Bachelorette Party! Dinner was great and the games had us laughing. We look a fun limo ride down to Power & Light where we had lots drinks and danced the night away. It has been so great getting to know all her friends. They are all so sweet and know how to have a good time. I can only imagine how fun her wedding is going to be.

I found this hanger on Etsy.com over the summer and think it is the perfect touch for Bride’s to hang their gowns on. I was so glad Emily loved it!

Have fun looking at the pictures from our girls night out! If only I could figure out how to upload the video of her riding the bull. It is a classic!!

Happy Birthday Belle!

Today is my cousin Annabelle’s 22nd birthday! She is such a sweet girl who I just love to pieces! I have to share this funny video from her 21st birthday last year. My Aunt Cyndi and I headed Lawrence to take her out to celebrate and I bought her a concrete mixer aka cement mixer. If you haven't heard of one before it is a shot of Bailey's followed by a drink of Lime Juice. You tell them to mix it in their mouth like mouthwash and once they combine it starts to curdle and expand. You can tell by her face when that happens!!! This was just the beginning of a fun night!!!

Happy Birthday Annabelle! I hope you have a wonderful day! Love you!

Obsessed w/ Trader Joe's

Well I have been quite the slacker on my Tubby Tuesday Posts. With that said I have been quite the slacker on tracking my points which results in zero weight loss. I have steared clear of the scale the last couples weeks but hoping on today I was pleased to see I had maintained my 10 pound loss. The only bummer is if I had been tracking and attending meetings I'm sure I would be close to 20 pounds lost. But no need to beat myself about it. This is a lifestyle change and I'm going to have my ups and downs and learn from my mistakes. Mistake #1 Not tracking. Mistake #2 Not attending meetings. Two things that I can easily fix. I can say I have fixed Mistake #1 as I got back on the tracking bandwagon last Monday. I plan to fix Mistake #2 tomorrow night at a meeting.

I'm excited to say Brian jumped on the WW train 2 weeks ago. We do our own thing for breakfast and lunch but dinner we plan together. He tracks everything on his phone, keeps lunch and lots of snacks at the office and has started exercising after work. His first weigh in he had lost almost what I had lost in a month. Man I hate boys sometimes! But I'm super proud of him though and I think he is pretty proud of himself for sticking to it!!

After the pumpkin patch on Saturday we stopped by Trader Joe's on the Missouri side since we were over that way. One word....OBSESSED!! This girl is now obsessed with Trader Joe's. We didn't have a list so we were planning to just walk through and look around. $70 dollars later....we came out with some things that have become favorites and bonus they are healthy! We did pick up a couple bottles of their Two Buck Chuck wine that they are known for. Not too bad for $2.99 but a little to sweet for this wino. I think I will stick to my Bogle!

Below is a picture of my 3 favorite things from our trip!!

Roasted Red Hummus that I pair with carrots for 2pts and creaming soup that tastes just like Hannah and I's recipe for 3pts.

Sunflowers for $3.99. Ohh I'm in heaven.

If you haven't been before you have to check it out!!

Happy Tuesday Everyone!

Good Weekend!

It was a good week followed by a good weekend. I wish this weather was all year around because I am just one happy lady! We started our Saturday off with meeting up with the McNeil gang at the DeLaSalle Pumpkin Patch. Kate and Julia have taken the boys there before so we thought we would join them. They loved the bouncy house and the rides on the donkey or horse. There was just a minor disagreement on what to call the animal. Lol

Here are the sweet boys enjoying their ride.....

Who loves his Grammy? EVAN DOES!!!

We had to get home to cheer on the Wildcats! Even though we weren't in the stadium doing the Wabash with the rest of the crowd...Brian still had to start the game off right. And this is why I love him! (Sorry you have to turn your head to watch!)

I was entertained too much by recording my brother and the Hubs watching the game. Most of the videos aren't appropriate for BlogWorld due to a high stress game but the one below was a good one!

The Cats brought it home with a win! The flag flew high at our house!!

Sunday we bummed around before I had to work. It's nice to have a relaxing weekend and a Wildcat win made it even better! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend as well!
